Hi, I’m Jackson — the founder, maker, and heart behind Newjleather, a handcrafted leather goods brand proudly established in Vancouver, Canada, in 2024.

Originally from Hong Kong, I moved to Canada in search of a new pace of life. My career in the construction engineering industry has always kept me busy, but settling in Vancouver gave me the chance to rediscover something I had long set aside: the joy of creating with my hands.

My journey with leathercraft began in 2012. I started with a few basic tools, some leather, and a book — and I was hooked. Over the years, I’ve handcrafted hundreds of leather items, each one teaching me something new and pushing me to improve. What started as a hobby has grown into a true passion.

Newjleather is a one-person workshop. Every product you see is designed, cut, stitched, and finished by me — after my full-time engineering job. That means every item takes time, and I appreciate your patience. I promise that each piece is made with care, precision, and 100% effort.

I also share my craft through leather workshops, where I teach others the techniques I’ve learned. It brings me great joy to pass on the art of leatherworking and connect with fellow creators.
